Printing on Paper
Within the Justseeds Artists' Cooperative, I work as a printer, designer, and disseminater of print work on paper with a focus on a social and environmental justice themes. Personally, I like to keep the design simple and the message direct, which has lead me to a focus on letterpress printing and a primarily text-based practice in recent years. I'm largely influenced by the aesthetic of labels on whiskey bottles, "Wanted" posters from Hollywood Westerns, the psychology of sloganeering, and anything with a touch of filigree. Occasionally I get some of this propaganda printed on hundreds of vinyl stickers.
